NewsBin -- NewsBin is a fast, easy way to download binary attachments from Internet newsgroups. Setup is simple -- enter the name of your news server, add the newsgroups you want to download from, select how many messages you want to access at a time, and connect. You can run the program in automatic mode and download each binary (freeing you to do other things) or run it in manual mode and decide if you want to download each individual attachment. NewsBin decodes encoded binaries, can track a virtually unlimited number of newsgroups and attachments, and is even smart enough to know when you've already downloaded an attachment (handy for those that might appear in more than one newsgroup). Other features include a simple Web server, support for using multiple news servers, spam filtering, and more. If you frequently download binary attachments, NewsBin can be a real time-saver.
